Why veganism?Health —Research shows that plant-based diets can reduce the risk of many life-threatening diseases, give you lots of energy, and keep you at a healthy weight. Environment —As the threat and ramifications of climate change continue to loom over us, overproduction, over-draining of the earth's resources, and pollution have to stop. Ethics —All living creatures have rights, particularly the right not to suffer and to be free, so most vegans demand cruelty-free labor practices and refuse to support animal agriculture.
